Consumer and Carer Committee

Our Consumer and Carer Committee plays a key role in improving the experiences and care we provide our patients.

At South Coast Private Hospital we have a Consumer Carer Advisory Group (CCAG). The CCAG is a valued group of volunteers whom represent a voice for the consumers and carers of our hospital. They offer advice to our Medical Advisory Committee on improvements for the hospital, programming, patient feedback and safety concerns. Their inputs help us achieve excellent health care service to our patients. They engage with patients and their support network to give the Chief Executive Officer feedback about what the hospital does well and to offer suggestions for improvement. Our Consumer and Carer Committee gets feedback from:

  • Our suggestion box and feedback cards at the Consumer and Carer Desk and Noticeboard

All feedback that is received is compiled and presented at South Coast Private Hospital’s Quality and Risk Committee meetings by a Consumer and Carer Committee member. The Quality and Risk Committee looks at the suggestions and provides a report that identifies all consumer and carer feedback as well as a response to feedback raised.

Consumers and Carers have a right to participate in the care and service that they receive. We welcome feedback, to ensure that South Coast Private Hospital can continually improve the services it provides to consumers and their families.
