Dr Daniel Smoothy is a consultant psychiatrist at South Coast Private Hospital and cares for both outpatients and inpatients. Dr Smoothy has experience in adult psychiatry and has always been fascinated by the workings of the human mind, particularly the connections between mental health and physical health. Dr Smoothy has an holistic approach to treatment, one that emphasises psychological therapies combined with effective medications and building a therapeutic alliance with each of his patients. In this regard, Dr Smoothy provides his patients a safe space for healing, fostering resilience and promoting recovery. In his leisure time he enjoys travelling, cycling and outdoors.
