Dr Gobin Chabungbam is a consultant psychiatrist at South Coast Private Hospital. Dr. Chabungbam is a general adult psychiatrist who is currently working as a staff specialist psychiatrist in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. He has over 17 years of experience in mental health. After his psychiatric training in PGIMER, India, he has worked in many reputable hospitals both in India and Australia.
He has wide and extensive clinical experience in working with a broad range of mental health issues including bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD & other anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, comorbid drug & alcohol issues. He also has a lot of experience in managing patients with complex comorbid conditions.
His areas of special interest are mood disorders, early psychoses, and comorbid drug and alcohol issues.
