This semi-open program aims to assist patients to lift their mood through targeting maladaptive thought processes, unhelpful behaviours and replacing these with more helpful strategies. Using the model of CBT, participants are taught how to assertively address symptoms of depression in their everyday lives, through targeted skills development and a homework program.
Throughout this program you will participate in group sessions. The group will be lead by qualified allied health professionals who will support group participants to share lived experiences, and to learn practical skills and evidence-based strategies for managing persistent low mood, poor motivation and low self-esteem.
Understand Mood Disorders - Learn how low mood persists over time.
Thoughts Challenging - Learn how to shift unhelpful thinking styles.
Mood Dependence - Learn how to overcome low motivation and get moving.
Rumination - Learn ways to reduce overthinking or dwelling on past negative events.
