Professional background

Adele Cave is a provisional psychologist dedicated to supporting mental health and wellbeing. She works with both adults and children 8 years and older, focusing on areas such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, sleep, and cognitive decline. Adele is passionate about helping people thrive through strategies that enhance sleep, social connection, physical activity, and cognitive functioning.

Adele also has a strong interest in women’s health across the lifespan, with experience in conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, and breast cancer. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and empowered to make positive changes. Adele's approach incorporates Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), dependent on clients' needs and wants.

Adele has previously worked in suicide aftercare, supporting young to older individuals at risk of suicide by conducting safety planning, risk assessments, goal setting and providing assistance with linking to longer term supports, alongside providing short-term intervention work.  Prior to her clinical work, Adele has been involved in cognitive and women’s health research, publishing peer reviewed journal articles in these areas, in addition to her university teaching roles. Outside of her research and practice, Adele enjoys reformer and mat Pilates, yoga, boxing and kickboxing, as well as travelling with her young family.
